Friends...we are not dead

Sorry for not posting for awhile!  I am not sure anyone will every check our blog again because I haven't posted in so long!  If you are one of the faithful few...sorry and I will try and be better!

We have had a really good summer!  Landon got a job at Enterprise where he is on the management training program and so far he is enjoying it!  We have loved living with my parents.  They have been so generous to house us and help us during this time of transition.  We are moving into our own apartment at the beginning of December and I don't know what Logan and I are going to do without Grandma and Papa.  It has been so fun for me to have them around and I know I will be lonely without them!

We are excited to welcome our new little boy into the world in just 5 more weeks!  (not that anyone is counting)  It will be interesting to see how Logan and I adjust to this new little guy!  We are sure excited to meet him!

Here are some updated pictures of Logan!  She is such a joy!  She is getting so smart and can say all kinds of things.  I will do a post next on all she can do and say!

I would like to mention that I told Landon he could NEVER throw her that high again!  Dangerous!

Happy Mother's Day

Landon and I are the luckiest.  These are our mamas.  We know that they were meant for us.  They have lifted us up and guided use through life.  They have been our greatest friends and supporters.  They taught us about the important things in life.  They have created homes where we have felt safety, happiness, peace, and love throughout our lives.  They have been the source of unfailing acceptance and love.  This year especially we are so grateful to Heavenly Father for sending us to these two women.  Of all the blessings Landon and I enjoy our mothers are at the top of the list.

As it turns out Logan seems to think that she has some kind of claim on our moms!  Sometimes we get a little jealous...especially when it is so obvious our moms want us around just because they know we have to bring Logan.

Logan's favorite thing on earth is being in the arms of Grandma Fran.  Can't you see it in her content little face.  She is looking at me like...don't you even think about taking me away from my Grandma!!!

Here are some more fun pictures of Logan with her two favorite people on the earth.  (Don't let her scowls fool you...she is mad that she is not allowed to hold the camera...not that she is being held by her grandma)
If is wasn't for sweet Grandma Fran Logan wouldn't have any toys...or books...or good food ;)

We all love you!  Hope you know what an impact you both have made on all of our lives.  We want to be like you.  We want to live up to all that you expect of us.  We think of you and feel of your love and concern in our lives everyday.  Hope you both have a wonderful Mother's Day.

Kansas City Spring Break 2011...oh yeah!!!

Landon, Logan and I got to spend last week in Kansas City with my parents.  It was a seriously good time.  We went in celebration of our last spring break (Dear spring break, I love you and will miss you forever)
Anyway here is a little smattering of what went on...
First, we flew (which wasn't as fun as it sounds...or looks)

Where was you?  Where was you at?

Once we got there we:  Went on some walks (above picture: it was cold there and we had to bundle up.  What movie does this remind you of?) Logan has never made it through a whole walk without sleeping.

On Monday we got to go the World War I Museum.  We learned a lot and had some fun!

At the museum there is a huge tower that has been built as a memorial to those that died in the war.  We went to the top and got a little wet in the process.

Then Landon and I got to go to some Big 12 basketball games at the Sprint Center.  It was awesome!  Great seats huh?

Our next adventure was to Independence.  We checked out the visitors center and the LDS temple being built there.

We also went shopping a few times.  Work it Logan!!!

Our next stop was at the Kansas City Zoo!

On Sunday some of our favorite people came over the Sawayas!  Here is Kate with Logan.  Logan LOVED Kate.  She kept reaching for her and crawling scooting after her.

If I could sum up the whole trip in one picture it would be this:

Logan could not get enough of Grandma and Grandpa's awesome stairs.

We sure love you Grandma and Papa!  Thanks for having us.  We can't stop talking about all the fun we had.  The only thing I am sad about is that we didn't get a good picture of Logan with Papa.  She loved to cuddle up to Papa any chance she got.
